Maddie and Tim decided to go ahead with their wedding in May, despite the COVID-19 restrictions limiting them to a maximum of five people for their wedding.

They came out to Bundeena in Sydney’s Royal National Park to join photographer James Day and myself for their wedding day portraits. James had invited me to come take photos of the happy couple with him and we had a blast photographing these guys all around the beaches and cliffs in the area.

As I said in my previous blog post, these wedding day portraits during the COVID restrictions remind me a lot of photographing wedding elopements, where you go out to a special beautiful location with just the bride and groom and get awesome, creative photos all day with pretty much just the three of you.

Maddie and Tim had a fantastic sense of humour and were super easy to take photos of, as they joked around with us. They were obviously super happy together and in love.

Maddie’s wedding dress was super cool and she told us it’s the only one in Australia! I do enjoy when couples choose unique things for their weddings.

As I’ve often told my couples who may typically feel awkward in front of cameras, you don’t need to be into getting your photo taken for me to capture great moments of you, you just need to be into each other. I’ll take care of the rest. 🙂

Here are some of my favourite photos of Maddie and Tim. Thanks for having me as one of your wedding photographers on your special day!
